7 Day Kruger and Swaziland Safari tour
Day 1 – Transfer + Gorge Glass lift experience

 Your guide will pick you up early morning from Johannesburg & head to the Panorama Route.
You will make a stop along the way to stretch your legs, buy some refreshments and to enjoy breakfast if you missed it at your hotel.
After your stop you will make your way to the Graskop Gorge Glass lift with an absolute magical view of the lowveld valley that stretches out over a vast forest land towards the Kruger national Park area. The glass lift takes you down into the mesmerizing world of the area’s indigenous rainforest where you can go on a boardwalk walking trail and explore this natural treasure.

Afterwards you will then head to the Lodge where you will stay the following two nights. Arrive in the afternoon, settle in and relax.
Enjoy Dinner around 18h00/19h00 at the Lodge’s Restaurant.

Day 2 – Panorama Route + Canyon Boat Cruise

 Depart early morning from the Lodge and transfer Northwards to the Blyde Canyon Nature Reserve. Here you will be able to enjoy a enjoy a very unique and scenic Boat Cruise at 09:00, from inside the Canyon with a chance to see many species of water birds, antelopes, crocodiles and hippopotamus.

Afterwards you will be able to explore the Blyde River Canyon (One of the largest and the greenest canyon in the world) and enjoy stunning scenic viewpoints such as the Pinnacle Rock, The Wonder View, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels the best view over the canyon from above and the beautiful Lisbon Falls. Return to your accommodation late in the afternoon, where you can relax until dinner can be enjoyed at the lodge’s restaurant.

Day 3 – Elephant Interaction + Kruger open vehicle Sunset game drive

After a refreshing cup of coffee and Breakfast you will depart and make your way to the Elephant sanctuary situated nearby.

At 09h00, you will be able to go on a Guided Tour with a fully trained Elephant Guide. Full Elephant Introduction in the Forest area and a tour of the Sanctuary and Stables. Interacting with the largest land animals on earth.

After your Elephant tour you will head to the iconic Kruger National Park. As soon as you have entered you will start to see some wildlife, be especially on the lookout for Rhino, Elephants, Buffalo and Leopard during your first excursion through the park. Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon, situated next to the beautiful Sabi River which attracts plenty of wildlife. Settle in and relax until your open vehicle Sunset Game Drive starts at 16h30. Afterwards enjoy dinner prepared by your guide under African skies in the true Safari way.

 Day 4 - Bushwalk & Sunset Open vehicle Kruger Game drives

Start this day bright and early in the true African way, enjoy the beautiful African Sunrise and get close to Nature on foot by going on an adrenaline packed Bushwalk (duration 3-4 hours), guided by armed Rangers.

Enjoy a tasty breakfast afterwards back at camp. Depart after breakfast and enjoy a closed vehicle mid-day Game drive through Kruger National Park on the way to Berg & Dal Rest camp, situated in the South of the Park, where you will stay the night. Visit Waterholes, Riverbeds and Lookout points along the way.

At 16h30 you will be able to go on another exciting 3-hour open vehicle Sunset Game Drive in search for the numerous species of wildlife in the area.

Afterwards you can enjoy dinner prepared by your guide.

* Please note the Bushwalk can be substituted with a Sunrise Open vehicle Kruger Game drive. Or the Bushwalk and Sunset drive can be substituted with a Full Day Kruger Game drive (Highly recommended)

Day 5 - Kruger to Swaziland

  After Breakfast, you will depart, making your way to Kruger’s gate where you will exit the Park, a last opportunity to spot the animals that have eluded you during your previous excursions.
After you exit Kruger Park, you will make your way to the last remaining Royal Kingdom of Southern Africa – Swaziland (Now called Eswatini). Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and countryside of Swaziland as you make your way to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
After arrival at Mlilwane in the afternoon, there will be time to settle-in and relax.

During the afternoon you will be able to enjoy activities such as visiting Malkerns Valley’s Swazi Candles’ vibrant, music filled workshop and witness how they create the most stunning candles in front of your eyes.
Or enjoy Mlilwane’s many walking trails, an interwoven network of more than 10 trails.  Between the grasslands, dams, mountain and forests, there are a number of animal species to be seen including crocodile, zebra, blue wildebeest, kudu, and many more animal species.

Enjoy dinner around 19h00.

 Day 6 - Mantenga Cultural village Experience

 After an early morning breakfast, you will make your way to the Mantenga Cultural Village, set against the scenic backdrop of Nyonyane mountain. Here you will be able to visit the Mantenga Waterfalls, enjoy a guided tour through the Village and experience how the Swazi people used to live. Afterwards, you will be able to witness a stunning Swazi dancing performance.

After your day at Mantenga, you will head back to Mlilwane, where you will be able to relax until dinner can be enjoyed around 18:30.

Day 7 – Transfer back to Johannesburg

After you have enjoyed a delicious breakfast, you will depart from Mlilwane and head towards the  Border, but before you exit Swaziland, you will make one last stop at Ngwenya glass village, here you will be able to watch from a balcony how the Swazi people use broken pieces of glass and turning it in the most stunning ornaments.
After your Ngwenya glass stop you will exit Swaziland through the Oshoek border post, entering South Africa again, making your way back to Johannesburg, where you Safari will unfortunately come to an end.

Please note, although we provide planned Itineraries our tours are totally flexible and can be customised to suit your needs. Should there be activities that you are not interested in, we could easily exclude them from the Tour.

  • Red Africa Safaris might make use of partnered companies to lead/conduct Safari tours and only make use of highly professional, registered and passionate companies with whom Red Africa Safaris has an established relationship.
  • If the Reservation is made within 30 days of departure, we request the full amount to be paid at the time of confirmation. If the Reservation is made more than 30 days prior to departure then a 50% deposit of the full amount is required at the time of booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the Safari Tour.
  • There might be other guests joining you on some of the activities such as the Kruger Game drives and Bushwalks as these activities are done by Kruger Park themselves. Exclusive private Safaris/Tours (Full Day + Morning drives) could be scheduled and arranged, where your guide will provide a more in-depth experience and will share his knowledge about Africa’s Fauna & Flora with you.

  • Adults above 65 years need to provide a doctor certificate when wanting to partake in the Bushwalks.
